Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service used to virtually meet with others - either by video or audio-only or both.
To start, Zoom must be downloaded on your PC or laptop. It can be downloaded by searching 'zoom download' on Google. Click on the official link (zoom.us) and then click the blue 'download' button.
Once it is downloaded, go to the start button ('window' icon on left bottom of screen) and type the keyword 'Zoom' once the search is complete you will see the short cut to the 'start Zoom' app.
You can click on the application or press 'Enter' on your keyboard to start Zoom.
Two options appear:
1) To 'Join a meeting' (we will discuss in the next video)
2) To 'Sign In'
Click on 'Sign In'
Enter your email address and password. (for the first time you can 'sign up for free' in the bottom right hand corner)
Once you have signed in, click on the calendar icon that has 'Schedule' written underneath it.
A window will pop up. In the 'Topic' box give a name to the meeting.
Select the date and time of the meeting by editing the two boxes to the right of the 'Start' title.
The length of the meeting can also be changed using the 'Duration' section. Note that free Zoom accounts have a 40-minute maximum for meetings.
When happy with your settings for the meeting you can click 'save'.
Click on your email app, a drafted email will appear with all the meeting information in it. This email invite can be sent to the participants using their email addresses.
